Getting rid of the "Home | Tools" bar and the tabbed functionality

how rid of "home | tools" line, including tabbed functionality, in new reader dc 2015?

 

it takes huge amount of screen estate on small screen. also, i'm not mobile user. don't need icons 3 times large used -- there way can decrease size of icons too?

you can disable in edit menu -> preferences:

restart system after making changes.

Error: 100600 Update failed, updates have been disabled by your system policy

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
