Standardized Location / Size for Signatures ...

i work engineering firm , need apply 2 digital signatures each drawing sheet.

  1. the engineer's state seal
  2. the digital signature

 

i know there different opinions on necessity of signing each sheet, our legal team has determined need do.

 

i have ready go , working on best practice staff use in signing sheets. issue have need way signature fields inserted @ correct location on page , in correct dimensions identical on every sheet every project. know staff can use forms tool insert signature field , use properties locate , size it. hoping there more efficient way this.

 

any appreciated.

send requirement back. signing each sheet digital signature plain wrong. once beyond handful of signatures file become unstable , unusable. digital signatures, legally , practically, apply entire document, , not analog of signed piece of paper. crucial thing digital signatures visual appearance unimportant. must grasped involved in process, otherwise form habit of inspecting page rather signature. once people stop checking actual (off page) signature, protection lost , falsification becomes trivial.

 

of course entirely in order put visible stamp on each page before signing once, printed copies can fulfil individual need or meet paper requirements. digital signatures not appropriate purpose.
