An unknown error occurred while opening the project

i working on project , quit out error message "sorry, unknown error has occurred , premiere" needs shut down (didn't take screenshot of error message because happens @ least 1 or 2 times every time i'm working on project, thought time same).

 

i went open saved project , got error message:

 

 

i went autosaved files, , 1 worked 2 hours earlier. last autosave works "20150730_jet-2-8.prproj." weird thing is, next autosave "jet -2-9" has 1 less mb of data 2-8.

 

 

 

i'm not sure if has why 2-9 thru 2013 won't open, autosave 2-8 will.

 

i have tried importing premiere project new premiere project, loads forever , nothing happens. have tried importing after effects , error message.

 

• what version of premiere pro? include minor version number (e.g., premiere pro cc 2014.2 (8.2)).

• what kind(s) of source footage? when telling source footage, tell codecs, not container types. example, "h.264 in .mov container", not "quicktime".

i editing , copied clip 1 timeline , paste in another, said unknown error occurred , shut down.

no

• tell computer hardware. tell gpu, third-party i/o hardware (e.g., aja, matrox, blackmagic, motu) , type of media drives using.

i'm working off of g-drive mobile thunderbolt, it's brand new.

• what kind of gpu have installed, including make, model number, , gpu driver?

don't know

• are using mercury playback engine gpu acceleration?

yes

• do still have issue when choosing project settings > general > renderer > mercury playback engine (software only)?

i can't bc can't project

• does problem happen final output, previews, or both?
