Why do I have to reinstall Acrobat every three months or so?

bought adobe cs6 design standard student edition windows in jan 2014. suite comes bridge, indesign, photoshop, illustrator, , acrobat. original computer installed on older model, , spring, upgraded pc. had work adobe support install software on new machine because of troubles, , given new serial number. since pc upgrade , re-installation on new machine, acrobat craps out every 3 months or so. typically, i'll have pdf open, , close without given prompting. program still appears installed on machine, not able open program until uninstalling, , reinstalling onto pc, requires installation disk. don't have uninstall whole suite, individual program, re-installation. mention now, pdf reading has once again been shut, , can not open adobe acrobat. other adobe programs work fine. once again have uninstall program, , insert software disk put functioning acrobat on pc.

 

what's going on, , can prevent this? going have continuously reinstall software forever until upgrade cc?
