edit in photoshop (command E) not responding

any idea why lr won't communicate cs 6?  highlight 2 or 3 images in library module, command e or use pull down menu photo, edit in, merge panorama in photoshop.

nothing happens.

for several years have used feature dozens , dozens of times.

but yesterday stopped responding.

why?

 

by way, it's communication error(?) since photomerge works within photoshop (file, automate, photomerge).

how can them talk each other?

 

i'm on 4 year old 27" imac, 16 gb memory, os x 10.8.5.

using cs 6 , lr 5.7.1

camera raw 8.7.1 don't go through.

 

please can help?

do receive error message when go edit in photoshop?

 

would suggest follow below steps :

• go lightroom preferences > external editing > click on choose under additional external editor > choose photoshop cs6 applications folder in finder
• select multiple images , press command+option+e keys choose edit in photoshop (the second 1 added)

 

let know if works or still receive sort of message.
