How do I disable the "Automatic Updater" for Photoshop Elements 9 in Windows

i found appeared answer above question , here's link followed , took me set of code line items type in @ command prompt (dos) in computer.  unfortunately when type code in, following response "  < unexpected @ time. " isn't right , maybe it's way i'm typing in way it's written on page not way type in @ command prompt.  don't know how change 1 line in dos, because if hit enter key ends process.  type in assuming spaces in between lines?  maybe shouldn't have spaces i've tried several different ways , no love.  if can tell me how changes lines without hitting enter key appreciate it, think may solve issue.  link follows   <  disable auto-updates | application manager | administrators
