How to create this in Photoshop

hello,

 

i'm new photoshop.

 

i created hi-tech box in after effects need recreate in photoshop.  in after effects created 1 solid 2 masks add , subtracted each other create hi-tech box.  there similar method can use in photoshop create this? or maybe show me how create other hi-tech looking user interface boxes can have text in them.

(not sure why picture big )

if asking blue gradient, first thing drag guides position.  make 2 separate work paths using guides.  note when placing point perpendicular previous point, hold down shift key force perfect alignment.

 

then ctrl (cmd) click 1 of paths, , fill new layer colour.  same other work path.  note need separate layers because 2 shapes need different settings.

 

now open layer styles 1 of layers, , set fill opacity 0 (the fill colour disappear) use inner glow blend mode set normal (this depends on underlying colours, normal safest).

 

repeat other layer.

for pattern on right i'd google turbine images , mask accordingly

Error: 100600 Update failed, updates have been disabled by your system policy

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
