LRCC screen goes black, slow

apologies if has come already:

 

lrcc - i7960 + gpu switched on (gtx970)  = slow

lrcc xeon x5650 overclocked , same graphics card  - faster eg graduated filer, else either slow, or worse.  obvious when of ui goes black ~3 seconds before coming back.  appears randomly.  can sitting there looking @ image (in develop mode) , it'll go black. other thing did @ same time enable graphics card processing increased cache size 70gb recommended in thread other day.  oh , screen wont go black it'll hang several seconds. 

 

the grad filter being faster highlights how slow rest of program is.  know it's been 5 or 6 years since we've been complaining lr's speed, frankly - utterly ludicrous.

please follow below steps.

 

 

open lightroom

go performance tab

uncheck gpu

then, go general tab

uncheck option "show add photo screen"

restart lightroom
