Best way to display selected resources

i in search of advice on best way handle functionality: 

 

early on in project (captivate 9) have slide want individuals select specific categories. (they can select more one).  want inform resource links show on later slide.  example, choose "english langauge learners" on slide 3 , when slide 13 resources related demographic show up.

 

i think best way have actions on slide 3 assign values variable , have resources tied value of variable, question best way variables assigned on slide?  i'd people able select something, see selected, able unselect if selected in error.

 

or if there alternative/better way make functionality happen know of please advise.

you use radiobuttons interaction 3 choices? has associated variable populated choice made. you'll find example in movie in blog post:

Maximum number of authorizations reached!
