Testing my project for mobile and tips to reduce grief with it

hi guys

i've looked @ previous threads on publishing on mobiles , i'm filled dread ! i'm seeing fair bit of frustration , few unanswered questions making me quite worried. i'm hoping ensure avoid similar pitfalls when publishing mobile , tablet. have 2 questions date:

1) i'm trying "test" publish project mobile trying send zip file html link within it. working on laptop can't work on mobile. tips on how can test how project plays on mobile? don't yet have lms or website host @ point.

2) when change view project plays on computer tablet or mobile mode notice quite number of objects/images go out of alignment. if case need manually insert these images each screen size (which means have go through 3 times). there smarter way of doing this? mentioned vector images , had no idea meant. there types of images don't resize well/others resize better?

3) general tips me have smooth experience when designing/publishing mobile?

thanks

using zip file not way go unless building scorm package , uploading zip lms.

ideally html5 or responsive content should tested web server.  if don't have that, need @ least test using adobe edge inspect , use adobe edge extension chrome browser on desktop:

adobe® edge inspect installation guide

building responsive projects tedious @ best.  have start primary (desktop) output , reposition, resize or replace objects accordingly other viewport sizes.  add significant development time course project. captivate 8 had 3 viewport sizes, captivate 9 has 5. money there not point creating responsive project unless have compelling reason.  fact want play courseware on mobile devices not of make compelling reason normal html5 content work quite well.  doesn't have responsive 'mobile'.

if want 'smoothest , easiest' route mobile learning, avoid responsive projects , build html5.  that's advice.
