Acrobat Reader DC version 2015.006.30096 How to disable Welcome splash screen on first use?

we public library few hundred computers available public. these computers locked down on reboot changes made patron logged in erased protect computers , patrons privacy. every time computer used first use splash window comes up. have been able disable in other versions of acrobat not dc/2015. have tried following registry changes customization wizard:

also tried acrobatdc.admx group policy display splash screen @ launch, disabled.

 

computers unlocked after hours push software install. install 2015.006.30033 first followed 2015.006.30096.msp upgrade. computers locked again. done unattended impossible log each , close welcome splash screen user.

i noticing same issue when using sccm upgrade customers workstations v11. applying acrordr2015upd1500630097_mui.msp part of upgrade , seems "feature" added in acrordr2015upd1500630094_mui.msp patch . test users seeing window pop up, not reading info , clicking next, next, next until end @ screen asking sign on information. no doubt end generating desk calls stopped roll out.

some initial investigations show in current user registry, registry key software\adobe\acrobat reader\2015\ftedialog has dword bshowinstallfte=1 created straight after reader dc 2015 opened first time, , before closing welcome dialog. initial testing shows manually creating the value , setting 0 before upgrading seems stop welcome screen.

i tried putting value in same hklm location bshowwelcomescreen or busagemeasurement values in customization wizard, no luck, , tried adding hklu in package editor sccm installing software under different account, registry value not end in current logged on users registry straight away.

i think fix use group policy add registry key workstations before upgrading them

the key is:

"bshowinstallfte"=dword:00000000
