freeing up space on computer by deleting element organizer catalog?

i have stand alone copy of lightroom , elements 12 , creative cloud on desktop. imported photos elements organizer lr cc. see organizer has copies of photos (even ones imported , never sent elements edit) lr cc. shoot in raw , worried using laptop space. bought external hard drive haven't opened yet. want use lr photo organization exclusively , prefer use lr cc edits, if @ possible. when can't in lr, use elements few things can't figure out how in photoshop cc. should next keep clogging computer , having run slowly?

i not worry much. actual catalog file quite small. lightroom, elements organizer not physically hold photos. makes links files in folders.

but right stick management tool. use lightroom , not organizer.

 

you can copy folders external hard drive , in lr library right-click (control-click) on folder name , choose update folder location. after lr updates catalog can delete corresponding folder internal drive. click following link , go to: part 2 - updating folder location
