Lightroom Taking Stick on PetaPixel

petapixel goto blog when switch on in morning.  it's supposed photography, casts net bit wider sometimes.  posted article today claiming lightroom takes 6 times long next slowest competitor, being in order of import speed capture 1, photo mechanic, , apple's new photo app.  person carried out test did on mac, don't know whether still using yosemite, or problematic el capitan, , nor know each program during import process.

 

no surprises negative nature of comments, , no surprises lack of thought of comments betray.  anyway...  know lot of regular posters forum don't use lightroom (i can't @ all, despite several attempts use it) in case do, might find short article , video interesting.

yeah, lightroom getting slow , preview building , regenerating indeed main problem.

 

the sliders responding nicely, problem switching between images. , that's half point of using lightroom in first place - organizing shoots of perhaps several hundred frames quickly. don't have time these half-second, one-second, 2 second delays preview refresh , snap focus.

 

this on i7-3820 / 32gb / ssd system absolutely flies else.

 

so yes, lightroom haters here in photoshop forum - have point.
