Adobe Photoshop CS2: scanning clipart and getting unwanted black line when saving as PNG

l working in photoshop scanning pencil , pen drawing of mine computer convert them digital files. save them bitmap b/w clipart .png extension file formate.  problem noticing when go import them say, indesign on right side of art work there solid line. can go in , photoshop , clipart show there nothing there. have tried copy , past , save new file name , still show when import clipart program. question cause in clipart work in , don't have solid black line? can me out here puzzled why show after save file , import clipart anorther program. try put clipart book older sister of doodles because has been missing them , went art book , paper o doodled on , scanned all

them in , want make sure clipart clean , print out out line on side of them. thank time appreciate can get. larry white
