server behavior select list not working
i able server behaviors dreamweaver cc after losing 2 weeks of productivity. adobe dropped ball on removing used feature. anyway, have functionality of server behaviors work except dynamic select list behavior worked fine in dreamweaver cs5.5. i'm doing reading customer code customer table in mysql database , using code go against client codes table display codes/descriptions, highlighting customer's current code is. on update form user can select new code update customer's record in customer table. pretty straight forward , know how it. however, not work in dreamweaver cc. difference in cs5.5 version , new cc version i'm making site responsive, <!doctype html>, bootstrap.css , www.w3schools.com/lib/w3.css. none of should make difference. of other server behaviors (i.e. text, radio button) work fine in dreamweaver cc. help!!!!!
the server behaviors removed reason. code generate won't work in php 7, scheduled released next week. nor work in lot of sites run php 5.5 or 5.6 because hosting companies have disabled original mysql functions in php.
you can make strong argument adobe update server behaviors work mysqli or pdo (many people have done so), you're living on borrowed time if continue rely on old server behaviors. if adobe created updated versions of server behaviors tomorrow, still need recode pages because code in server behaviors cannot replaced.
