why see "nothing imported' 'file in catalog' when scanning when not in catalog ?

this message means scanned files have properties (file size in kilobytes , 'date_taken') matching of files in catalog. 2 criteria tell organizer skip them avoid duplicates in catalog. file name , location in folders not criteria duplicates.

to find out file considered in catalog, it's not simple.

create new test catalog , import offending file.

note size , date_taken.

in current catalog search 'by details, metadata' picture matching 2 criteria.

 

i suppose re-save scanned files, possibly after assigning different 'date_taken' after import , before doing scan?

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
