Remove reference list in the PDFs

dear all,

 

i'm using acrobat dc pro. need edit thousands of pdfs journal articles. want remove "reference list" in each of articles, impossible manually open each of pdfs , manually remove reference list. possible use acrobat have batch processing of action? e.g. action or script can perform function? thank you.

in sample file, want remove last 2 pages and  remove text makes "references" heading , reference 1 through 3?

 

in case, script constructed searches file word "references", , redacts , on page follows it. delete subsequent pages or redact contents. have add logic if word "references" found in more 1 location, dealt with, or files flagged closer look. preprocessing might warranted identify if , (page #, location on page) word "references" occurs in document.

 

the script redaction , page deletion used in action (aka batch process).
