Lr 6 on Mac camera profiles not loading even though I can see them in camera raw folder.

using lr 6 on mac , camera profiles not loading. can see path camera profiles exist, lr not drawing on them. (yes, i'm opening raw in lr) out of frustration started creating custom dng in adbe dng editor. oddly saving dcp files there dropped them in correct folder. folder inaccessible me. how access area? know seeing path cannot files , therefore can't drop correct dcp file in. i've run command line expose hidden folders. essentially, if lr access correct folder cam profiles great. if that's not possible, how can find hidden folder lr drawing from? thanks.

what camera model, file type (.cr2, .nef, etc.), , version of lr using (help> adobe photoshop lightroom)? camera profile missing (adobe standard, camera standard, etc.) or "custom" profiles.
