Why does the Preview window freeze with two images?

after dragging duration of clip in premiere, preview monitor freezes on setup, image left , right. active sequence won't play , have wait , wait , wait until snaps-to.

i've tried disabling cuda in mercury engine, , clearing cache. footage 4k, being worked in 1080p sequence, don't think means should freeze?

cpu: intel core i7-5930k 3.5ghz 6-core processor

memory: ddr4 2133 8gb x 4

hard drives (2): crucial m550 512gb 2.5" solid state drive

video cards (2): gtx 980 4gb

operating system: microsoft windows 8.1 (oem)

moving premiere pro cc

Error: 100600 Update failed, updates have been disabled by your system policy

just installed acrobat 11.0.13 on windows 7 sp 1 ultimate 64-bit machine.  when try run, > check updates, error below.  happening on several machines.  in domain group policy not restrict updates.  have tried running acrobat "run administrator" , have tried running update service administrator.  no luck.     common acrobat nonsense, there not policy acrobat !!! just missing unnecessary adobe arm !!! this time when see stupid error message installer, not install updater as  !!! but avoid annoying offer update usefulness acrobat dc (ok adobe give try, respect effort, no more reader (sorry adobe !!!) remove complete adobe arm folder, acrobat not need , loose nothing of functionality !!! however paid acrobat xi pro , not need degradation it  dc !!!
